Fried chicken brand Sides has opened its fourth London site in Croydon, as it pushes ahead with plans to open 10 physical restaurants across the UK this year.

Developed by YouTube collective The Sidemen, the new location at Boxpark Croydon is the fried chicken brand’s second opening of the year and joins Sides' existing outposts in Boxpark Wembley, Gravity Wandsworth and Market Place Harrow.

The group also operates numerous delivery kitchens nationwide, and has ambitious long-term goals to operate out of 200 locations in the UK over the next decade.

The Croydon menu features all of Sides' signature wings, burgers and tenders, with options including a new Nashville-style spicy chicken. There will also be a new side dish of crispy corn ribs, alongside the usual waffle fries, and mac and cheese bites.

“The fans have been crying out for more Sides locations, so we are excited to meet the crazy demand with our latest opening at Boxpark Croydon," says YouTube star and one of The Sidemen, Vikram Barn.

“We are looking forward to fans visiting our newest location and trying our evolved menu offering, including our new Sides Hot Chicken. Our take on Nashville-style chicken is the perfect mix of heat and flavour combination, we cannot wait to see if fans can handle the hotness.”

Sides first set out plans to open a site within Croydon Boxpark last year, however, it never materialised. Restaurant understands that the original plan was to open a larger unit with indoor seating.
