YouTube stars to launch second Sides in Croydon

Virtual fried chicken brand Sides will open its second bricks and mortar restaurant later this month in another tie-up with Boxpark.

The brand, which was created by YouTube collective The Sidemen, will open in Boxpark Croydon on 29 September serving its menu of wings, chicken burgers, tenders, waffle fries, and mac and cheese bites.

It follows the brand’s restaurant debut at Boxpark Wembley at the start of this year.

“Launching our second site has been a huge milestone for us, and we’re so thrilled that it could be in BOXPARK Croydon”, says marketing director at Sides, Adam Maddock.

“It’s been an incredible journey so far and the response to Sides so far has been phenomenal. With plans to launch into several new countries across the globe over the next 12 months, including India, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the USA, this is just the start of an epic era for us.”

Launched in 2021, Sides is the creation of YouTube stars The Sidemen, a collective of seven content creators - KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123 and W2S (Wroetoshaw) - across food, football, gaming and music.

There are currently 100 Sides kitchens operating globally with the brand having received more than a quarter of a million orders across the country since its launch.

“This is a major milestone for us,” says Joshua Bradley aka Zerkaa. “Seeing the response to our Boxpark Wembley restaurant has been mind-blowing. We’re so proud to be in a position to do it all over again, and to be able to give the fans what they want.”

Sides is part of Virtual Hero, a subsidiary of Hero Brands, the company behind hospitality brands German Doner Kebab, Choppaluna, and Island Poké.
