Celebrated French chef Yannick Alléno will make his London restaurant debut next summer at the Four Seasons Park Lane.

First revealed by BigHospitality back in September, it is understood the restaurant will be a new outpost of Alléno's Michelin-starred Pavyllon concept, which already has sites in Paris and Monte-Carlo and is described as a ‘gastronomic counter’.

Full details on the London restaurant will be announced in due course, but it is billed as being set to offer 'elegant, approachable dining from breakfast through to dinner' with a menu of 'contemporary and creative plates that embody Alléno’s philosophy of modern French cuisine'.

Whilst dishes will be rooted in French gastronomy and techniques, the chef will also take inspiration from London and British produce.

Alléno opened his first Pavyllon restaurant in Paris in October 2019. It features a large, 32-cover counter facing an open kitchen where diners are served food by the chefs, as well as some table seating.

Dishes are grounded in French cuisine, but have an international feel with some cooked on a teppanyaki grill and others influenced by Nordic and Italian cooking.

Born in Puteaux, just outside Paris, Alléno is one of France’s most celebrated chefs with 15 Michelin stars across his 14 restaurants.

His three restaurants in Pavillon Ledoyen hold six stars – three at Alléno Paris, two at L’Abysse and one at Pavyllon – making it one of the most star-rated independent establishment in the world.

Another of his restaurant, Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc in Courchevel, also holds three Michelin stars and he has previously been featured in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List.

Alléno is one of a number of chefs who have appeared in The World’s 50 Best Restaurant list to currently be planning restaurants in London.

Next month, renowned Swedish chef Björn Frantzén, whose eponymous Stockholm restaurant is currently ranked at number six on the list, will make his UK restaurant debut next month with the launch of Studio Frantzén at Harrods in Knightsbridge.

Meanwhile, chef Mauro Colagreco, whose restaurant Mirazur previously topped the list, is set make his UK debut in the coming months with a brace of restaurants and ‘avante garde chef’s table’ at upcoming Whitehall hotel Raffles London At The OWO.
