Tom Kerridge has confirmed he will be opening a second site under his Butcher’s Tap & Grill brand later this year in London’s Chelsea.

Taking over the former The Queen’s Head site on Tyron Street, close to Sloane Square, the 100-cover pub will predominately be wet led with a rotating roster of drinks including London craft beers and new world wines.

There will also be a ‘British centric’ food menu of butcher-cuts, burgers, hot dogs and small bites.

It will be Kerridge’s third opening in the capital and sit alongside his original Butcher’s Tap & Grill, which he opened in Marlow back in 2017.

“The pub will be a spin off from the original, in that it is not a carbon copy of the Marlow pub,” explains Kerridge.

“More emphasis will be placed on drinks and the bar in Chelsea, and we will not offer a takeaway butcher’s service, but guests will be able to choose their cuts from the meat fridge.

“We very much want to be a local’s local, somewhere to pop in, have a pint, watch some sport have a bite and relax. We will also be dog friendly so well behaved four legged friends are very welcome too!”

Ahead of the launch, the 3,600sq ft, two-storey Victorian property will undergo a complete redesign featuring a brand-new bar and dining area, commercial kitchens, toilets and back of house areas.

The design, overseen by Tibbatts Abel, will include a focal hardwood bar topped with zinc, handmade lighting, curated art, vintage flooring and British-made decorative tiles.

There will also be an open kitchen in the basement level, alongside meat ageing fridges.

Kerridge’s restaurant estate is primarily based in Marlow, where he opened his two Michelin starred flagship restaurant The Hand and Flowers back in 2005.

The chef opened his first London restaurant, called Kerridge's Bar and Grill, in the Corinthia Hotel back in 2018. He launched a second outpost in the capital in 2021 - a gourmet fish and chips restaurant located within Harrods Dining Hall.
