Restaurant and bar group Mission Mars is planning to open a further 12 Rudy’s Pizza sites this year after reporting ‘record’ sales across its estate over the festive period.

Overall revenue across the group, which encompasses 23 Rudy’s Pizza restaurants and the three-strong Albert Schloss brand, rose 38% to £10m between 27 November and 31 December 2023 when compared to the year before.

Group like-for-like (LfL) sales increased by 18% over the same period.

Rudy’s saw revenue grow by 72% to £4m, driven by organic growth and new venues ‘performing well’; while Albert Schloss saw revenue climb to £5.3m over the five-week festive period, an increase of 24% on prior year.

“I am delighted with the quarter’s trade,” says Roy Ellis, Mission Mars chief executive.

“The strengths of both brands, coupled with the hard work of our teams, has helped deliver a record-breaking quarter, including an exceptional Christmas period.”

Ellis adds that Rudy’s currently has 12 new sites going through legals, all of which he aims to open this year.

A further Albert Schloss site is also being planned.

The cook haus and beer palace brand will make its debut in London this summer, taking over the former Rainforest Café site on Shaftesbury Avenue.
