GALLERY: Trufflesecco truffle and prosecco bar is latest in London's truffle ingredients craze
Trufflesecco is not the first site in London to focus on only a couple of specialist ingredients.
Other recent examples including Sackville’s in Mayfair, the soon-to-open Searcys meatball-and-Champagne bar at One New Change, and of course, the original Bubbledogs in Fitzrovia, which specialises in serving high-end hot dogs with a glass of Champagne.

Founded by London-based Russian sisters Irina and Svetlana Bondar, the privately funded, 24-cover site at 11 Camden High Street has been influenced by traditional Italian café-bars in Florence, and is expecting to receive permission to open a small outside terrace area by summer.
The site offers meat and cheese platters (£14 and £16 each), with all ingredients sourced via Italian suppliers, alongside a drinks list championing seven different kinds of prosecco, plus prosecco-based cocktails such as Bellinis with extra prosecco shots.
The menu also includes options such as black truffles with burrata cheese, truffled cheese, crostini with melted mozzarella, truffle oil and pistachio, and hot choices such as pastry fried with truffle.
There is also a deli shop including a selection of truffle-based dry goods, spreads, and oils, plus a wide range of wines and bubbles.
Neither Irina nor Svetlana has a background in hospitality (they previously worked in marketing and psychology respectively), but were inspired to open the site after visiting the city of Florence and enjoying its tranquil atmosphere compared to the bustle of London.
Speaking to BigHospitality, Irina said: “It’s very intimate. We wanted to bring a piece of Florence to London, and make sure that people have that atmosphere of being relaxed and celebrating everyday life over drinks and food. We wanted to create a place that we wanted to go to. When we went to Florence, it felt so genuine and beautiful and calm. London can be very hectic, so this is just about having that very calm experience and enjoying the beauty of that moment.”
