AFTERNOON TEA WEEK 2016

Although most afternoon teas come with Champagne, they're not just for grown ups - at ZSL London Zoo's Terrace Restaurant, kids can get involved too (minus the fizz, of course). Ampersand (part of the CH&Co group), which runs the site, has created the zoo-inspired afternoon tea including sandwiches in the shape of animals, lion cupcakes, a sprinkled cake pop and milkshake, all served on a quirky mini picnic bench.
For a limited period until 4 September, the children's tea is free with every adult's version purchased.
Paul Jackson, managing director at Ampersand, said: “The new children’s afternoon tea is a fantastic addition to ZSL London Zoo’s Terrace Restaurant menu. Inspired by the Zoo’s famous and favourite residents, the contents and presentation have been cleverly designed to bring the fun of visiting the Zoo into the restaurant."
