Mildreds to open two new restaurants in early 2024
The plant-based restaurant group will open restaurants in Victoria and Wimbledon in early 2024.
The Wimbledon site is part of the newly redeveloped Wimbledon Quarter. Located in the old Grade II listed fire station, the restaurant will have more than 100 covers alongside an outdoor terrace facing onto Queens Road.
Mildreds' new plant-based bakery concept MiMA will make its debut at the Wimbledon site serving freshly baked vegan pastries, open sandwiches, salads, and desserts alongside a drinks menu of speciality coffees from Allpress and freshly pressed juices.
Its Victoria restaurant will have 120 covers alongside an extensive outdoor terrace, located on Wilton Road.
Both venues will serve an all-day menu of plant-based dishes that Mildreds says has been ‘carefully crafted to cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences’.
The expansion comes on the back of a new round of funding provided by existing investors Encore Capital, which has supported the brand’s expansion since 2019. It follows the launch of Mildreds’ sister concept Mallow’s second site in Canary Wharf earlier in the year.

The group currently operates five sites under the Mildreds brand in Covent Garden, Dalston, Soho, Camden, and King's Cross.
