Gareth Jones, head chef, Mr Cooper's House & Garden
The Midland Hotel has appointed Gareth Jones to the role of head chef of Simon Rogan's new restaurant, Mr Cooper’s House & Garden.
Jones joins with a wealth of experience, having previously worked as head chef at Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales and as senior sous chef at the Michelin-starred Chester Grosvenor Hotel.
He said: “I feel really honoured to be working alongside someone like Simon. I’m a northerner with a passion for fantastic food, so I’m delighted to part of Manchester’s best new destination restaurant. I’ve learned so much from Simon, he’s a genius in the kitchen and with his guidance, I want to grow Mr Cooper’s into not only one of the best restaurants in Manchester, but the North West.”
