Dean-Williams-and-Valentino
Dean Williams has been appointed as executive head chef at 1907 Bar, Restaurant & Grill at the Brooklands Hotel while Valentino Gentile has joined the team as sous chef.
Williams, who's previous job was a four-year stint as executive head chef at Liphook's Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Golf & Country Estate, is tasked with bringing his own creative flair to the restaurant while continuing its approach to seasonal cooking.
Williams said: "I look forward to continuing the hard work and innovation that has led to an outstanding reputation for 1907, which is so much more than a standard hotel restaurant.
“As well as an indulgence for guests staying at the hotel, all the team and I also want to continue to build on the progress of welcoming non-hotel guests at weekends and especially mid-week, as well as continue the creativity and skilled work that go into Brooklands Hotel’s excellent offerings for events, celebrations, business lunches, weddings and more.”
Italian-born Gentile worked at Zinfandel in Guildford, L'Aroma in Woking and at Ristorante Del Nonnon in Malaga, Spain.
Most recently he worked as a head chef and partner at La Luna in Godalming, where he earned a promotion from his original position of sous chef.
