April
In April The Clove Club became the first restaurant in the UK to introduce a ticketing system asking diners to pay for their meal in advance.
The move was designed to reduce the number of 'no-shows' and free up staff from taking phone reservations.
Clove Club co-owner Daniel Willis told BigHospitality later in the year that the move had been a success and resulted in customers starting to spend more in the restaurant.
