On leaving school Reece Cosier took up a role in the kitchens at Kings Heath Sports and Cricket Club where he was persuaded to take a degree course at UCB College in Birmingham. After a year's work placement at the White Barn Hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine during his second year, he returned to complete his degree before taking up a role at a hotel in Worcestershire.
He says he decided to take up a 'more challenging' job away from home after some time to help nurture his desire and passion to succeed as a chef, so took up a placement at the Landmark Hotel in London.
He says: "My success in the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Graduate Awards in 2014 and 2015 has now given me the chance to seek further success in Young National Chef of the Year. I hope that I have a great future ahead of me in the industry, and I believe that my determination and passion will allow me to succeed at the highest level."
