Ian Palmer has been appointed to the position of general manager at Devonshire Club, a new private members club in London which is due to open in May 2016.
Joining from The Club at Café Royal and with previous employment at The Arts Club and Home House under his belt, Palmer brings with him a network of high net-worth contacts and has acquired a reputation for being a ‘consummate host’.
Palmer is known for hosting Brit Awards after-show parties where he looks after high profile musicians. He also has experience in the hotel world; he started his training at The Savoy Hotel before moving on to other high profile establishments.
Palmer said: “This is the most exciting project I have worked on. To have the opportunity to launch a private members club in the City, in such an iconic location, is a dream. We will be bringing a super luxury product to the square mile and creating a space where business and pleasure can collide”.
