Robert-Potter
The Manor, an Exclusive Hotel & Golf Club in Castle Combe, near Bath, has announced that Robert Potter will be the executive chef at the 5-star country house hotel.
He joins from Lucknam Park where he led the kitchen team at the Michelin-starred The Park Restaurant for three years, under the guidance of executive chef, Hywel Jones.
He will take up the position in February following a six-week refurbishment of the kitchen.
Potter said: ‘’I’m delighted to be joining The Manor House and to be a part of Exclusive Hotels and Venues, a group I have long admired for its culinary excellence and ethos of great food being central to the overall guest experience.
“The Bybrook restaurant at Manor House has a fantastic culinary reputation, with its rearing of pigs, chickens, quails and ducks onsite as well as access to a well-stocked kitchen garden, so to be given the opportunity to make my mark on the dining experience at this iconic country house hotel is something I’m really proud of and excited by.”
Stephen Browning, general manager of The Manor House said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Robert Potter to The Manor House. Robert is an extremely talented chef with an expert touch and a visionary eye, coupled with outstanding knowledge of the local area and an understanding of what diners at The Manor House expect, so we’re looking forward to our dining offering taking on a new path under his leadership and direction.”
